How much text can I generate?
You can specify an amount from 1 to 1000 for paragraphs, sentences, or words. If you need more, you can simply generate text multiple times and combine it.
What does the "HTML Formatting" option do?
If you check the "HTML Formatting (<p> tags)" option:
- When generating paragraphs, each paragraph will be wrapped in
<p>...</p>tags. - When generating sentences or words, the entire block of generated text will be wrapped in a single set of
<p>...</p>tags.
This is useful for quickly copying placeholder text into web development projects.
Does the "Start with Lorem ipsum..." option always work?
The "Start with 'Lorem ipsum...'" option works best when you generate at least one paragraph, or at least one sentence, or at least 5 words.
- For paragraphs, only the very first generated paragraph will start with "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet...".
- For sentences, only the first generated sentence will be "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet...".
- For words, if you request 5 or more words, the first five will be "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet". If you request fewer than 5 words, the starting phrase might be incomplete or not used to ensure the requested word count is met with standard Lorem Ipsum words.
Is the generated text always the same?
No, the generated text uses a degree of randomness in selecting sentences and words (from a predefined pool) and in determining the length of sentences and paragraphs (within certain ranges). This ensures that while it looks like Latin, it varies each time you generate it, providing a more natural appearance for placeholder content.
